Custom Watering Schedule

For a custom watering schedule tailored to your landscape and our Laguna Beach climate, visit www.BeWaterWise.com to access the BeWaterWise.com Watering Calculator.

The Watering Calculator is a tool that estimates the right amount of water to give your landscape or garden every week. It has been designed to give you a schedule for the maximum amount of water which your plants need each week of the year by using average numbers for weather, plants, and soils within the urban Southern California area. The calculator should be used as a guide only.

BeWaterWise.com also contains information on area rebate programs, plant guides, watering index, and a native plant hotline.

Hortense Miller Garden

The Hortense Miller Garden, established in 1959, covers two and one half acres of the upper slopes of Boat Canyon in Laguna Beach, California.  The Garden demonstrates the range of plants that can be grown in Southern California coastal zones. It provides a source of visual information and inspiration for visitors planning their own gardens. The use of fertilizers and chemical controls has been limited in the Garden, so as to encourage a diversity of plant and wildlife species.
