The garden, established in 2003, grew out of a joint collaboration between the District, The Greater Laguna Coast Fire-Safe Council, and Mike Parker Landscape.

Located at the District's headquarters, the garden is designed to show that landscaping can be fire-safe, water efficient, and beautiful all in one.

Visitors can stroll along paths lined with over 50 different colorful, California-friendly plants, exotic shrubs, and perennials, which were selected for their suitability to the local climate, low water use, and fire resistance.

Scroll through our garden and learn about our plants from the comfort of your home, or stop by the District and visit this self-guided resource located in the heart of Laguna Beach.
